About

Tia is a 32-year-old lost soul. She graduated from college way back in 2005 thinking she knew it all and it was just a matter of going for gold. It turns out, she barely knew anything and is currently still struggling to find her place in the world.

She majored in Creative Writing after a short stint in Theater Arts (which she gave up after a year when she realized she had a bad case of stage fright). In writing, Tia found her niche for just telling it as it is. She dislikes highfalutin words and overdosing on adjectives. Ironically, in her senior year of college, due to a shortfall of actors in her year, she acted in two plays for her class' Fine Arts Festival. Scariest moment of her college career (aside from the dreaded Philosophy orals).

Post-college, Tia entered the corporate world - which was something she swore she'd never do. However, due to the age-old problem of financial instability, she was forced into taking jobs she didn't want in order to pay the bills. Tia has been a business trainer, public relations officer, contributing writer, editor, social media contributor, resource specialist, and systems administrator.

Despite the chaos around her, there are several things that Tia finds to be calming: a good book, her music collection, nice and long conversations with her good friends, blogging, dancing, traveling, and the movies.
