It's been awhile since my last plane ride and I am itching to go somewhere. Now if only we could be done and over with the Korean Visa application, I can look forward to our upcoming trip to Seoul. But I'm not confident that we'd get approved, so I'm finding it hard to be excited. Not just yet.
So, in the meantime, I've been looking over old photos from previous trips. It's both fun and depressing going through these photos. It brings a sense of accomplishment, sure. It's a reminder that I've been to these places and brings back to mind all the fun I've had during those trips. But along with the happiness comes the sadness. The realization that there are still so many places to visit, but with only so little time and resources. It's a sadness that comes with the feeling of being tied down to one place.
I'm so ready for my next big adventure. If only getting there were made much easier.

There are seriously no words to describe how freaking awesome the BigBang Alive Galaxy Tour was. The boys were all at their best and they so clearly owned the stage. Also, bless you Pinoy VIPs, your energy was palpable and it touched me to the core.
As expected, G-Dragon was at the top of his game. His swag knows no bounds and his skills are just insane. Whether as a rapper, singer or dancer, GD just completely blows my mind. He knows his game and plays it well - commanding that stage like a boss.
Taeyang was a little ball of fire - just bouncing off the stage and dancing his little butt off. I really don't understand where his energy comes from. He was literally hyped up from start to finish. Hands down, this guy loves the stage and the stage loves him.
T.O.P, my darling T.O.P, is insanely gorgeous. Like, there are no words. And his voice is other worldly. He was also the clear and undeniable favorite in Manila - every time he'd come out on stage, or take to the mic, the entire arena would erupt in a deafening roar. He also danced his little butt off, which was soooo cute. ChoomTOP for the win!
Daesung's voice is just straight up eargasm. It's like dark chocolate ice cream, sprinkled with kisses and oozing with sex. Also, no photo or video will ever give justice to how good looking he is in person. And, let me just say, Daesung speaks better English than he’s ever let on.
And lastly, Seungri is beyond charming. Like, I wasn't a huge fan of the BigBang maknae before watching the concert. But coming out of the arena, I realized why there is this buzz around Seungri. I understand the sex scandals and the many girls who flock around him. The boy is pure charisma and sex appeal.
Below is a collection of fancams from the concert.
Because T.O.P was the favorite in Manila, at the end of the show, Taeyang kept T.O.P on the stage for his final goodbye. Commence CHOOMTOP.
At the 0:46 mark, you get Daesung doing the famous Sandara wave. Haha!
Listen to the crowd go crazy when T.O.P enters the stage.
So proud of how the Pinoy VIPs sang along to each and every song. Woot!
Listen to the Pinoy VIPs singing Haru Haru. It was one of the most poignant parts of the concert.
Salamat, BigBang. Sa uulitin!
I’m currently watching "Ojagkyo Brothers" and this is my first encounter with a long-running Korean drama. I’m so used to the regular 16-24 episode format that "Gaksital", with its 28 episodes, is the longest I’ve ever had to go through. So "Ojagkyo Brothers", which is 58 episodes long, is going to be one hell of a series.
This family drama is actually really good and gripping and all that jazz that keeps me glued. The different story lines are intriguing and I’m eating up all these episodes like a freaking meth addict. But the pacing is something I really need to get used to.
I’m on episode 15 right now, and if this were my regular Korean drama, it would be all up in the climax and shit is just about to go down right before I get my needed closure. However, with this drama, that is not the case. Episode 15 and we’re just about done setting up the premise and we have a looooong but promising way to go. You can imagine how antsy I am right now. I just want my couples to actually be together so they can get into shenanigans already. I guess patience is a virtue I have yet to master.
I’ll be sticking this out though because it’s just soooo good. And Joo Won. Hot damn. Joo Won.
On the other side of Korean entertainment news, MBC has just confirmed that Yoon Eun Hye will be making her small screen comeback with "I Miss You" and will be starring with previously announced male lead Park Yoochun. I am beyond excited for this new development. I'm such a Yoon Eun Hye fan. And I love Yoochun to bits. This is bound to be one hell of a drama. Hopefully. Fingers crossed.
Also, You know how Yoon Eun Hye is one of those rare breed of Korean actresses who actually kisses her romantic leads back instead of just standing there limply like a dead fish? And I'm one of those fans who actually want to see Yoochun kissing a girl properly. THIS FREAKING EXCITES ME. YOU KISS HER LIKE THERE'S NO TOMORROW, YOOCHUNNIE. FIGHTING!
God, I love Yoon Eun Hye. Her kisses are intense.
I'm counting down the days until the BIG NIGHT at Mall of Asia Arena. We've got just 19 days to go until BigBang rocks Manila on October 24th with their Alive Galaxy Tour 2012. And who's excited??? I AM. I mean, check my last.fm account. I have practically been listening to nothing else but BigBang and its members solo albums for the past few months.
Clearly, I'm going insane. But the Alive album is just so good! And GD's new solo album is just equally as awesome. How do I even control myself until the 24th?

Long time no see, dear blog. It's not that I've been too busy living life to jot down a few insights or whatnot. More like, I've been trudging through my days with nothing significant ever happening to me that there's really not much relevant material to write about.
Who cares, really, that I've been transferred to another job post if it's still within the same company?
Who cares that I'm infinitely poorer now because we've been paying off our monthly amortization?
Who cares that I've been spending way too much time on tumblr?
Who cares that the only thing I'm looking forward to is our upcoming trip to Korea this December?
I guess, at the moment, I've learned that not a lot of people care about the mundane. And my life is just that. Aside from the chaos that surrounds me, my life has been one gigantic humdrum of restlessness. I need to get out of here.

So Big Bang is bringing their Alive tour to Manila on October 24th at the MoA Arena. I am beside myself with excitement. They are, quite possibly, my favorite k-pop group ever. Sadly, I have about 4 months left to save up for fairly decent seats to the show. Aside from money, I will also be needing to find someone to watch with me. It's really quite unfortunate that I don't have any VIP friends.
Anyone out there in the blogosphere with the same dilemma? Camown! I can't let this once in a lifetime opportunity pass! Omo.
Since moving into the new house, I've slowly been filling up my room with random knick knacks.
My Rilakkuma passport holder on top of my shelf. A pink dish (which I'm certain was originally intended for food as I bought it in the plates section of the department store) I use to stash random things, including Airheads.
My bed, with mismatched comforter and pillow covers.
The jewelry/accessories organizer Vicky gave me on my birthday.
Signed copy of Darren's EP, a collection of Idol alumni CDs. The pig-rabbit doll I got from Korea resting on my copy of The Time Traveler's Wife.
Just random things I've found in department stores. Oh, spot the Last Airbender DVDs I have yet to finish watching.
Note to self: print out photos for those cute frames.
The dreamcatcher I bought in Boracay over the New Year holiday hangs on my full-length mirror.
I want to fill it up with more random bits and pieces. It's getting there.
